Treating Tough Seasonal Allergies

Do you have challenges in treating season allergies in your practice? Dr. Gergits will review the different treatments for seasonal allergies.

Educational Objectives:

  • Evaluate how to better recognize allergy and allergy associated disease states
  • Share additional therapeutic options for patients diagnosed with Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis (SAR)
  • Assess appropriate patients for referral to allergy specialists

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). The Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association (AOMA) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.

Franklyn Gergits, DO, MBA, FAOCO is a board-certified, specialty-trained ear, nose and throat physician who has been in private practice since he finished his residency in 1998. He was born and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania and received his bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University and a master’s in biochemistry from Lehigh University. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). He completed his internship in Pontiac, Michigan and completed his residency training in ear, nose and throat, head and neck surgery, and facial plastic surgery at PCOM. He maintained a successful solo practice for 19 years where he offered allergy treatment, general ENT, audiological testing and hearing aid sales and service, as well as esthetics and clinical research. In 2017, relocated his practice to Scottsdale, Arizona. In 2018, he completed his executive MBA in healthcare from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA. He continues to educate himself on current advances in treatment options for ENT, striving to provide the best care for his patients with optimal outcomes.
